Not a bad turn out for all FCHS basketball teams this weekend.

Other than the JV boys winning first in their home tournament the JV girls returned from Red Deer this weekend with some hardware as well.

The ladies defeated Aberhart and host team, Lindsay Thurber, to get to the finals, where they fell short, and finished with a silver medal.

The second place finish was a huge accomplishment for the JV girls as it was their first championship game of the season.

The lady falcons will hit the hardwood again the last weekend of February for the Bishop O' Byrne Tournament.

As for the men's side, the senior boys Falcons also had a top three finish on the weekend.

They played at the Western Canada High School Tournament and made it to the bronze medal game.

The Falcons senior boys took on St. Mary's and beat them in a close 87-80 game, placing third in the tournament.

In that match up Adam Pahl led the way with 24 points, Peter Baker had 17, David Kent-Canalejo had 14 and Tyson Pitcher had 10.
