How is it already the last weekend of May!? 

I'm not sure where the time went but I do know this month is going out with a bang!

Here are some of the events we have our Eagle eye on.

FRIDAY:

Okotoks Dawgs Home Opener: The Dawgs are back y'all and they're taking on the Brooks Bombers in the first of a double header! Grab some tickets, check out all the new additions to the Seaman Stadium and cheer on the boys in their first game of the 2022-23 season! Click HERE for tickets.

SATURDAY: 

The Okotoks Kite Scavenger Hunt: A new take on the Kite Festival and it's oh so fun! Grab your family and a clue sheet and look for all 24 kites that are hidden throughout the community. Search high and low, far and wide until you find at least three kites to get entered into a draw to win a $50 gift card to a local business! Click HERE for more details.

Art on the Lawn: Support local artists, enjoy the Saturday sun and treat yourself to a new piece of art! 

When: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. 
Where: Okotoks Art Gallery

 

Annual Plant Swap and Sale - How cute is this!? A plant swap and sale hosted by the Okotoks Garden Club and Town of Okotoks. Bring plants, swap plants or buy plants! If you're a green thumb (or a succulent/house plant addict) you'll love this event. 

When: 10 a.m. till 11:30 a.m.
Where: Okotoks Operations Centre, Okotoks 

 

The Hidden Gem's Saturday Bazaar - Calling all market lovers! The Hidden Gem currently has three huge indoor markets that will have their doors open and now they're adding a large outdoor market every Saturday filled with vendors from all over Alberta!  And vendors that are local to the Foothills and some from surrounding areas! There's food trucks and MUCH more on site as well! I have a feeling lots of us will be spending hours here...Check it out! 

When: 10 a.m. till 4 p.m.
Where: The Hidden Gem, Okotoks

 

Kevin Chen - Piano: The world renowned pianist Kevin Chen is coming to High River for a night of mesmerizing music. Though he is young he has skill and talent beyond his years - as well as many accomplishments. To grab tickets to watch the youngest ever winner of the '2021 Franz Liszt International Piano Competition' play click HERE.

Jake Matthews @ Tribal Connection Market: Weekly Saturday night live music at Tribal Connection Market!? Yes please! This week residents are getting quite the show with Canadian country artist, Jake Matthews, who has numerous top 20 hits and has received several Canadian Country Music Award nominations. Country music lovers and music lovers alike, this is a must see! Call the store at 403-995-1898 for tickets.

Okotoks Dawgs Game - Catch the second portion of the double-header against the Brooks Bombers! And on a special night, as Seaman Stadium hosts their first ever 'Happy Hour'! Go to the game early and get $5 cheeseburgers and $5 beers and listen to the talented Brettyn Rose perform on the concourse! Go Dawgs go! Buy tickets HERE.

Okotoks Dawgs Game - Game three of the weekend and it's an afternoon one! Take the fam and cheer on the Dawgs as they take on the WCBL's newest team, the Sylvan Lake Gulls! Buy tickets HERE.
