Construction is underway on the Ethel Tucker Centennial Park play space.

Located near the former Okotoks library, the park is part of the Arts & Learning Campus.

The play space will include a buffalo climbing feature, which was decided on via public vote earlier this year.

It'll also feature a landmark compass, with "natural climbing and seating components," nearby.

The town is also installing 15 peace poles east of the play space, which will bear the message "May Peace Prevail on Earth" in 46 languages.

Wood from the 1897 Lineham Lumber Company barn, also known as the Creamery building, will be used in the construction of the poles.

It's expected to be completed by mid-September.
