The water conservation level 2 restrictions went into effect on Saturday July 1 in High River.

This essentially means there are days you can and can't water your lawn and it all depends what part of town you live in.

The town is broken down into four quadrants and watering is allowed between 5:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

  • Southwest residents can water on Mondays and Tuesdays
  • Southeast residents can water on Tuesdays and Fridays
  • Northeast residents can water on Wednesdays and Saturdays
  • Northwest residents can water on Wednesdays and Saturdays

There are no restrictions on hand watering your flowers, gardens or trees and shrubs.  You can even fill up a swimming pool without issue.

The level 2 restrictions are now in place until the end of October.
