Quick question...

What do you call these little guys?

The literal entire outside of our office building is covered in them and usually this would bother me, as I'm not a huge fan of any bug (other than the lady), BUT these little beetles are actually kind of cute and remind me of my favorite holiday, Halloween!

That's why I call them Halloween bugs but just this past week I've heard co-workers call them by like three different names...

I've heard maple bug, pumpkin bug and of course their real name the 'boxelder bug'.

But what do you call them?

Apparently they also go by the democrat bug, populist bug, politician bug.

Also, I hope you didn't think this was a "how to get rid of the boxelder bugs" blog...they're so cute and they just mind their business and their basically the face of fall.

So you're just gonna have to deal with them!

Fun fact: boxelder bugs are attracted to cool temperatures and warm sunny side houses. They cluster in warm areas on siding and roofs to make their way indoors. Once inside, they hibernate through fall and winter.

So say hello to your new roommates! lol.

Let me know what you call them though, comment on Facebook or text our High River Toyota text line (403)-938-0652.

Happy fall y'all!
