So the other day at the Okotoks Dawgs game it was 'Mascot Madness' night and it instantly shot me back into my childhood.

When I was younger, I truly wanted to be a professional sports mascot when I "grew up".

Seriously! And for good reasons!

1. In my Sports Illustrated for Kids magazine it showed how much mascots made and let's just say it was enough to jump ship from wanting to be a marine biologist to dancing my butt off in a hot costume on game night.

2. You can do and be anything you want!

3. Mascots bring people joy.

4. You're around sports ALL THE TIME.

There was really no downfall as a 12-year-old kid, as an adult....I can see a few now lol.

But I want to know, when you were younger what did you want to be when you "grew up"?

And what did you end up doing? Is it similar? Complete opposites?

Comment on Facebook!

Oh also, I'm in radio now just in case you didn't know ;) So still entertaining people! (I hope! lol)

P.S. Here's a little 'tid-bit' I found on the internet...so you can understand my mascot dream. In 2020, Sportscasting.com stated "Benny Da Bull of the Chicago Bulls earns $200,000 a year for his act. And that’s not even the highest. The title of highest-paid mascot in sports belongs to the Denver Nuggets’ Rocky, who earns a whopping $625,000 per year."

Now you get it!
