hemorrhoids symptoms

Whether it's herding dogies or just riding the range, a flak jacket and hard hat are recomended.  A new report has found that almost half of people from Southern Alberta with major horseback riding injuries require surgery, usually for head or chest traumas.

Calgary surgeon Dr. Rob Mulloy says with a background from the farm and working with horses he wanted to look at the types of injuries and how they happen.

"With the help of my co-authors, we interviewed patients that had been badly injured and asked them the events around the accident," he explained, "we looked at the age of the horse, the age of the rider, experience of the horse and rider and so on."

Mulloy says the study found rider inexperience was only offered as a cause in 5 percent of the cases.
