The snowfall that hit the foothills earlier in the week will likely melt this weekend as February comes to a close. 

Environment Canada calling for temperatures well above 0 C for the next few days, with the mercury reaching 5 or 7 degrees throughout the weekend.

This won't be without some gusty southwest wind, however. Saturday is expected to hit a high of 5 degrees with wind around 20 km/h increasing to 40 gusting to 70 near noon into the evening. 

Things are expected to ease by Sunday with a forecasted high of 7 and an overnight low of -4

Following that, sunny skies are projected throughout the week with highs near 12 by Thursday.
