A huge day at the NFR for a pair of Alberta cowboys.

Airdrie bareback rider Jake Vold had the top ride of the night for the third straight go round as he picked up another $26,000 for his eight seconds.

Vold says he can't believe he's got the hat trick.

"I'm kind of at a loss for words honestly. I can't believe this is happening. But, when I came here I set out to run down the world leaders and you know we're all trying to win a world title and it's definitely been going in my favour and making some ground up on them. It feels good!"

Vold sits fourth in the average.

Big Valley saddle bronc rider, Zeke Thurston, was number one as well taking the fifth go-round buckle.

Jake Watson from Hudson Hope, B.C. was second, while Nanton's Clay Elliot tied for sixth.

And Team Ropers Levi Simpson and Jeremy Buhler from Ponoka and Arrowwood remain number two in the average despite missing out on the money Tuesday night.
