The federal government is providing $17.8 million for 50 tourism-focused projects across Alberta.

That includes a pair in Millarville.

Minister of Tourism and Associate Minister of Finance, Randy Boissonnault, on behalf of Dan Vandal, Minister for PrairiesCan, announced more than $17.8 million in federal funding for 50 tourism-focused projects across Alberta. 

Forage & Farm / Stone Wood and Steel in Millarville will receive $99,999 to enhance blacksmithing and reception facilities and launch an upgraded online sales platform to improve the visitor experience. 

Spirit Hills in Millarville is also in line to receive $99,999 to increase visitor capacity by expanding the tasting room, patio, and other facilities as well as adding an immersive digital wall that shows Spirit Hills' winemaking process. 

Moose Mountain Ventures in Bragg Creek will get $33,875 to create new winter tourism experiences, including horse-drawn sleigh rides and ice skating.

And Travel Purposefully Inc. of Bragg Creek gets $99,999 to establish new multi-season glamping domes at Onespot Crossing Campground to expand the diversity of accommodations in the Bragg Creek area.
