Justin Trudeau's Liberals will remain in power in Canada.

This time around, they'll be leading a minority government.

After a contentious campaign, the Liberals overperformed their poll results, and are projected to win 156 seats at the time of publishing.

The Conservatives are leading in 122 ridings, with 32 seats for the Bloc Quebecois, 24 NDP, 3 for the Green Party, and a win for Independent Jody Wilson-Raybould.

170 seats are needed to form a majority government.

John Barlow of the Conservative Party will represent the Foothills as the official opposition in Ottawa. The rest of Alberta elected 33 Conservative MPs, and 1 NDP in Edmonton-Strathcona.

In the 2015 election, Trudeau's Liberals won 184 seats, with no other party winning 100 ridings.
