RCMP were called into action just south of the town of Champion.

On Friday, August 12, someone called the Vulcan RCMP to report a woman trespassing on private property at approximately 4:00 p.m. 

Two RCMP vehicles arrived to assess the situation and once the officers they recognized the vehicle as one which had been involved in two separate incidents.

One incident happened in Claresholm and the other was from Vulcan just the previous day on Thursday Aug. 11.

Once the suspect noticed the officers she attempted to flee, putting her vehicle in reverse and hitting a police cruiser in the process.

It's alleged she then put the vehicle in drive and striking the second police vehicle.

One of the RCMP officers involved was treated for their injuries at the hospital but later released.

Vulcan Detachment Commander, Sgt. Troy Dobson, was grateful for the public's help.

 “Thanks to the quick acting public who called right away, police we were able to locate and apprehend the female, which put an end to her two day crime spree.”

The female suspect was taken into custody with charges pending as the investigation continues.
