The partial watering ban in Okotoks has been lifted.

On August 16, the town put the partial ban into effect due to a heatwave that brought reservoir levels down to between 75 and 67 per cent.

Locals were prohibited from watering outdoors on weekends while the ban was in place.

Now, just over three weeks after the ban was put in place, the town confirmed that reservoir levels were back up to over 90 per cent, and that the ban had been lifted.

The regular watering schedule is now back in effect.

More information can be found on the town's website.
