The Town of Diamond Valley has announced a new location for their Canada Day fireworks show, and they'll be testing some out this evening.

According to a recent Facebook post, this year's Canada Day fireworks display will be at the  Scott Seaman Sports Rink and skateboard park area.

The new location will allow for more spectators, and the town indicated that the previous location is "no longer safe or available for spectators."

A test will be carried out at the rink this evening at 9:45 p.m., with Diamond Valley Fire Rescue on site.

Locals can expect loud noises as a result, and are advised to keep pets inside while the test is happening.

The town says it will only be a test, not a full show in and of itself.

If the test isn't able to be held tonight, it'll be pushed to next week.
