The month of November is now commonly referred to as Movember, and the Okotoks Oilers are sporting their own 'muzzies' to help the cause!

The Movember movement was created to support men's health, particularly by raising funds by growing moustaches.

It supports many health causes ranges from prostate to testicular cancer as well as other men's health issues such as mental health.

Dean Spack, #19 forward and Team Captain for the Oilers, is sporting some upper lip coverage and hopes fans and residents take part.

"Obviously with the end of the month coming up, we're trying to get that ten thousand goal and maybe push a little further."

This isn't the first year! Last season the team smashed their goal and raised $12, 270.

Oiler #25 forward and Assistant Captian Conyr Hellyer is proud to promote.

"It's a men's hockey team and everyone goes through ups and downs in life. I think it's just all about spreading awareness, and I think it's just a good way to reach out to the public."

As for who has the best 'stache on the team?

"There's a lot of us that can't grow 'em" chuckled Spack, "We're all trying our best here!"
