The Okotoks Bisons will have to put away the broom, for now.

The Herd weren't able to sweep the Medicine Hat Cubs on Tuesday night as the Cubs picked up a 5-3 win.

The Cubs clawed out the win with a strong start scoring first and really never looking back.

The Bisons were playing catch up all night as Cubs Jacob Milne would not be denied scoring a natural hat trick and teammate Cooper Hilworth potting the other two goals for the Cubs along with one of them being an empty netter.

The Bisons still need one more win to clinch the Heritage Jr B League south division title.

They lead the best-of-seven series now three games to one and play this Friday night at the Murray arena in Okotoks for an 8:00 p.m. start time.
