The slight drizzles did not stop the smiles on anybody's face at the Third Annual Max Robinson Children's Foundation Memorial Golf Tournament! Held at the Crystal Ridge Golf Course on Sunday, June 10th, the event featured regular golf and mini-golf, a delicious brunch, and a successful silent auction. All charitable proceeds raised by the event will be going towards helping children in the community and furthering the positive impact that Max Robinson has had on this world. The foundation itself honours Max's memory by providing sustainable and charitable support to children's health and education in our community. I was honoured to represent the Eagle at such a noble and necessary cause.

Max Robinson was a charismatic, intelligent, and loving young 6-year-old boy born in August of 2008. Unfortunately diagnosed with a dangerous strain of E. Coli in June of 2015, Max was admitted to the Alberta Children's Hospital where he received instrumental care and support from the staff. After bravely battling against his ailments, Max sadly passed away one week after his diagnosis on June 13. The Robinson family continues to recognize the incredible love and care offered to them by the hospital staff and so they continue to use Max's spirit to help raise awareness around the need for community support of the hospital. Since June 2015, over $65,000 have been raised for the hospital in Max’s name and it is the hope of the foundation to be able to continuously increase the funds raised with the help of the community and its members. Max's endless capacity for joy, care, and love has inspired those in his life and continues to inspire those who hear his story. It is for this purpose that the foundation and community members endure in this difficult yet noble path - to continue to bring light to those who are in most need of it.
