Many students in the Foothills School Division have been forced to work from home because of the pandemic.

Assistant Superintendent Drew Chipman says the board is looking at setting up a One-To-One device plan.

"We're looking at either (grades) 4 to 12 or 7 to 12, but it'll depend on the feedback that we get," he says. "Some other divisions that have instituted similar programs have had great success, especially when technology's becoming such a big part of students learning, especially if they're at home part of time it just makes a lot of sense."

He says there are still details to be worked out but one option would see the division supply the devices for a monthly charge as they do now with musical instruments.
