Okotoks Mark Sutherland is the 2016 Guy Weadick Days Chuckwagon Champion.

He had the best aggregate time over the four days of racing to take the title.

He says it was great to win it with the Town of High River tarp on his wagon.

"This is my home town rodeo. It was great! High River's been a huge supporter of the WPCA and a great friend of chuckwagon racing since I was a baby. It feels good, this is a big show and it was always on my list to win. And I'm quite proud."

High River's Jason Glass finished 17th in the aggregate, but remains at number three in the driver standings.

Sutherland moves up to number 10.

While High River's Jordie Fike finished 27th in High River and sits 32nd in the driver standings.

The drivers are back on the track Tuesday night as they start up seven days of racing at the Ponoka Stampede.
