Frigid temperatures forced last weekends charity hockey game to be rescheduled to this Sunday, Mar. 9.

Following last year's success, the hockey game pits regular citizens against everyday heroes.

The second annual Heritage Pointe Firefighter Classic Shinny Hockey Day is more than just a couple hockey games.

Festivities still start 10:00 AM with an ice fishing derby, food, fun, and prizes.

When the puck drops in the hockey games, firefighters will be wearing some familiar equipment instead of traditional hockey gear.

Foothills firefighters will be playing in the yellow pants, jackets and fire helmets they wear when responding to emergencies.

The games are against members of the Heritage Pointe community.

Kids play the firefighters at 12:30 PM with an adult game at 2:00 PM.

"Families are welcome and encouraged to attend the event that should be bigger and better than last year," said Deputy Fire Chief Gregg Schaalje.
