Snow crews had a massive task in front of them after the downfall of snow earlier this month.

Heading into the holidays the snow removal was moved aside for a moment before being picked right back up the next day.

Okotoks has almost finished the town's removal, moving into zones 5 and 6 soon.

Turner Valley won't have to worry any longer as its crews are all finished up according to Mayor Barry Crane.

"We've got the entire town of Turner Valley clean from the snowstorm of the 21st, and when I say clean I mean we have cleaned every street down to the pavement, we have three more streets to do tomorrow (December 29th) and then we are finished."

Crane says crews worked hard to get everything finished up as fast and efficiently as possible.

"They worked Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, we had contractors working alongside our guys, what an amazing display of teamwork to get rid of the worst snowstorm we've had in fifty years. Our administration has really stepped up to deliver this service to our citizens and I just wanted to say thank you from a citizen point of view for all the work they have done over the holidays."
