As of last week, seeding is nearly 70 per cent complete in Alberta.

That from Alberta Agriculture and Forestry's latest Crop Report from May 22.

Seeding progress was most advanced in the Southern region at 77 percent, with Central Alberta not far behind at 69 per cent.

The report adds, in Southern Alberta, most cereals are in the six-leaf unfolded stage of growth, and there's is still standing water in some low spots, due to run off.
