Update: The scene has been cleared and the street has re-opened for vehicles.

Traffic is being directed away from a stretch of McRae Street between Veterans Way and Clark Avenue by Monkey Mountain.

The closure appears to be related to a traffic accident. 

Police are diverting traffic away from the scene.

It is not yet known when the stretch of road will re-open.
