Just as previous weekends, Saturday's provincial COVID-19 update came in the form of a media release.

69 new cases were reported, bringing the total to 1569.

774 recoveries have been confirmed.

One additional death was reported. The individual was a resident of the McKenzie Towne continuing care facility, with this being the 18th death at the facility.

According to the province's geospatial data, there have been 12 cases in Okotoks-Priddis, 8 of which are active and 4 of which have recovered.

The same data shows 28 cases in High River, 26 of which are active.

The provincial government is again urging residents not to travel over the long weekend.
