The Okotoks Oilers kick off the AJHL pre-season with a couple of games this week, but whether or not fans will be able to catch any of the action is still a work in progress.

The Oilers and Bandits will face off six times in October as part of hockey's return to play protocol for cohorts.

The AJHL says arena capacity limits, social distancing protocols and ticket sales will be determined by each community and respective team.

The league says they're ready to go with more exhibitions and the regular season at a moment's notice, but need the all-clear from AHS first.

The Oilers and Bandits meet Friday, October 9, in Brooks and Saturday, October 10 in Okotoks.
