The River City Classics Eamon’s Garage Historical Society spent the last few days going around town dropping off cheques.

Thanks to a spectacular Show and Shine in September, and with help from the Foothills Fetal Alcohol Society and, of course, Mother Nature they're able to make donations to various charitable organizations in the town.

This year they gave out $11,000.

The local charities that the club chose for 2021 are The Food for Thought Program, Wild Rose Community Connections (HR food rescue),High River District Health Care Foundation, Spitzee School , Ecole Joe Clark, Holy Spirit Academy, Call of the West Museum, High River Handi-Bus, Museum of the Highwood and the Boys & Girls Club of High River.

Peter Hampton with the club says "We are so happy to be able to give back to the community that supports us and we look forward to next year and hope for bigger and better things. We also want to wish every one happy holidays and a safe and prosperous 2022."
