Residents had the chance to say 'namaste' to Yogatoks on Sunday.

This was the second year for the event at Ethel Tucker Park that featured free yoga, massage, healing, art, and dance classes for all ages.

Vick Mann, Organizer for Yogatoks, says the event was aimed at bringing the community together in a healing environment.

"The goal here was to just showcase the health and wellness modalities that we have within our community, that can help heal and support and grow collectively, so that's what we did".

The event was originally meant to take place earlier this summer but was rescheduled due to poor weather.

The idea is to support different outlets of healing and growth.

"Yogatoks is a bit of a movement here in Okotoks. The goal behind Yogatoks is to create and inspire a renaissance, so not just yoga, personal training, whatever your physical activity of choice may be, and also art," Mann explains. "Let's not forget it all ties into one another and let's support one another".

Mann adds he is grateful for the community's support and local businesses who took part.

The Okotoks Food Bank will be receiving the donations collected from Yogatoks.
