Repaving on Deefoot Extension to Begin

After being open for 3 years the Deerfoot extension will be getting a final layer of pavement.

Trent Bancarz with Alberta Transportation says it's normal to put on the last layer after a few years to see where the road is weakest. Paving will be limited to between the hours of 7pm and 5am. Traffic at times will go down to a single lane.

Bancarz also says the timing make it safer for workers.

Work is expected to be complete by September.
