The Rocky Mountain Raiders have top spot in the standings at the Esso Cup Ladies Midget Hockey Championships in their sights heading into the final day of the round robin Thursday night.

The Raiders edged Express du Richelieu, 3-2 Wednesday to move to 3-and-1 in the tournament and number one in the standings, tied with the Brantford Ice Cats.

However, they hold the tie breaker against the Cats, thanks to a win over them earlier this week.

The Raiders can lock down first place with a win Thursday over the host Weyburn Gold Wings, who have yet to win a game.

If things stay the same after Thursday's game, the Raiders will play Richelieu, in Friday's semi-finals.
