As of last week, nearly 40 per cent of crops have been planted in the Province.

According to Alberta Ag and Forestry's May 15th Crop Report, the Province planting progress is around 38 per cent, and farmers are approximately a week behind their normal planting pace.

Seeding progress is most advanced in the Southern region at 54 per cent.

The report adds, in the first half of May, temperatures have been the warmest since 1961 in most parts of Alberta, making for ideal seeding conditions as outfits are rolling in all regions.
