A rural symbol has become an urban threat. Ed Pirogowicz, a fish and wildlife officer in Calgary says coyotes thrive in large cities throughout North America and that can be a problem. "Especially if people start feeding them", says Pirgowicz, "that's the main thing we are concerned about". Pirogowicz says while a coyote attacking a human is rare, people should avoid supplying food for the animals either intentionally or unintentionally. |
