Calgary Parking Authority (CPA) is asking people who live, visit, or work out of Calgary to be vigilant as fake parking tickets have been circulating around the area.

The imitation tickets are nearly identical to the real ones that are handed out but, at the bottom of the phony tickets has a fake website that reads "calgaryparkplus.com." 

If you see this website on any ticket you receive, you are asked to destroy it and make sure you aren't following any instructions on the piece of paper.

If you are unsure if the parking ticket is fake after receiving one, call the CPA at 403-537-7000 to confirm and contact the Calgary Police non-emergency line at 403-266-1234.
