Construction in the Okotoks area may have some locals experiencing a power outage today (Aug. 11).

The outage is expected to affect spots along Highway 549 W heading out of town.

According to Fortis Alberta, the planned outage is expected to occur between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

It's expected to affect 22 customers.
