Cathy Clancy has changed her hair colour to pink, just to shave it off!

It isn't because she can't decide on a hairstyle, it is because she is fully supporting the Ronald McDonald House Charities Southern Alberta and Make-A-Wish Foundation.

It is called the 2016 Hair Massacure, and caring people just like Cathy are participating in this event and raising money and awareness.

Pink Hair is trademarked to the Hair Massacure. It makes a very bold and fun public statement that you intend to shave your head for the cause, and by taking pledges and shaving your hair, you show that you are an advocate for children with cancer.

Every donation will directly support children with life-threatening illnesses and every dollar is making an impact. www.hairmassacure.com

You will most likely find Cathy at work at McDonalds here in Okotoks, and when you see her, ask her about this great cause and make a donation.

Barb at The Hair Studio here in Okotoks has agreed to shave off Cathy's pink hair on Saturday February 27th at 8 am.

McDonalds has kindly donated coffee and treats for the occasion. Come on down and cheer her on.

I will be on hand with my camera when it happens, and post the before and after pictures.
