The home of the Okotoks Oilers has changed its name.

The contract tying Pason Systems Inc. to the areas is up and the spot for a new arena sponsor is up for grabs.

The arena that was affectionately named "The Pason" will hold onto the name "Centennial Arena" until a new sponsor steps forward.

New letters have been laid onto the ice in the rink that now only spell "Centennial Arena" to match the new shorter name on the exterior.

The letters came down Aug 8. The town is hoping to have one sponsor for both rinks as well as the Foothills Centennial Center.

Those interested in sponsoring are asked to contact the town.

This comes alongside a few changes to the arena including the removal of the netting along one side as well as new "bar-style" seating along the corners of the seating area.
