A donation page for an Alberta family who recently experienced a significant loss has seen over $127,000 in donations.

Jayme Erickson responded to a serious two-vehicle collision north of Calgary on Nov. 15, providing treatment to a critically injured patient who was eventually airlifted to hospital.

Later that evening, soon after getting home from her shift, Jayme was notified that her daughter had sustained serious injuries in a car crash and that the passenger she had provided care to was her own 17-year-old daughter, Montana.

"I was taken to FMC [Foothills Medical Centre] to see my baby girl, and was informed her injuries were not compatible with life," Erickson wrote in a Facebook post.

Her post was quickly spread across social media, and the Erickson family saw an outpouring of support and sympathy.

Montana swam with the Okotoks Mavericks before moving to Airdrie.

On Nov. 21, a GoFundMe page was launched, with over $127,000 having been raised so far.

The page is still live and can be found here.
