The proposed biodigester had quite a few people opposing it show up at the Open House on Sunday.

The open house was set up by a grassroots movement of people living near and around the site at Rimrock Feeders, just 5 km west of High River.

One of the event organizers, Laurene Mitchell was impressed with the turnout.

"We had approximately 310 people attend which we were very happy with, and it was a steady stream pretty much all day from 10 until about 5. So we were thrilled, to say the least."

Over 150 people signed their petition to 'Stop that Smell'.

Mitchell explains that the information they shared at the open house can be found on their website.

"We are very diligent in making sure we have factual information only for everybody to get educated."

More information can be found on their website including a link to the GoFundMe page and you can also purchase 8'x4' banners.
