When students return to the classroom in the Foothills School Division it'll be without any COVID restrictions.

Assistant Superintendent Drew Chipman says officials will be keeping an eye out for any changes.

"There's not any COVID restrictions right now, certainly we're monitoring that issue, Alberta Education's been making sure that we're aware of what needs to happen so we're watching those things," he says. "We're still making sure buses are cleaned and those protocols are happening, but currently, knock on wood, we don't have any restrictions."

He says it'll be great to welcome everybody back to the class and teachers are excited to have students back in the classroom, they're just hoping this school year doesn't have any of the delays that COVID caused last year.
