The Okotoks Minor Hockey Association has released an update following the most recent COVID measures from the provincial government.

With a three week pause on all sports, the season is on hold until at least December 18th, and possibly even longer if restrictions are extended.

Leagues can apply for exemptions, though the OMHA does not fall under the World Tournament or Pro categories.

With outdoor gathering limited to 10 people, full teams won't be able to convene on outdoor ice, and according to their release, indoor activities would be limited to one-on-one sessions with one instructor and a single player.

The earliest ice time would be December 19th, and the OMHA and Okotoks Oilers Athletic Association are looking into the possibility of an extended season.

They'll also be assessing the situation surrounding refunds, though at this early stage, it's too soon to tell what the season will look like.
