The end of the Calgary Stampeders season also marked the end of a career for Okotoks' own Charlie Power.

After nine years with the red and white, Power says it's time to move on.

In his end-of-season news conference, he says he's had a good run and has been fortunate to play his whole career in Calgary.

"I grew up in Okotoks, played bantam and high school out there so it's been a good run but I'm looking forward to what's next."

Power says he thought about retiring after last season, but after his Achilles injury, he wanted to be able to train for a full off-season and have a year where he knew it would be his last and make sure he enjoyed every day.
