The Okotoks Oilers got back into the win column over the weekend.

Picking up netminder Jack McNaughton last week is paying off.

He picked up another shutout on Friday night as the Oilers beat Grande Prairie 1-0 on a powerplay goal by Brett Huxley.

The team seems to play well on the road as their road trip continued on to Whitecourt where Reiger Lorenz picked up his first AJHL hat trick as they Oilers beat up the Wolverines 5-3.

But with their third road game in three days they were unable to beat Drayton Valley on Sunday during their afternoon tilt as they lost 5-1.

Parker Sawka started the game in net for the Oilers and was pulled after allowing four goals on 18 shots.  McNaughton finished game with the Thunder popping in an empty netter in the dying minutes of the game.

The Oilers now get ready for another road game tomorrow night (Tue. Nov. 30) in Olds as they take on the Grizzly's.  Puck drop is at 7:30 p.m. and you can catch all the play-by-play with Gino DePaoli starting at 7:15 p.m.
