There's a brand new way to discover what Okotoks has to offer, as the Town has released a new Visitor and Activities Guide.

Economic Development Manager, Shane Olson, says the guide is chock-full of information.

"It's a full-scale tourism brochure to promote our community, and include such information as a free listing of all of the restaurants and key retail stores in our community," he says.

Olson says the guide even includes a special family-based game to help choose what to do in Okotoks.

"Behind each compartment of the little folding game is a question on hip, happening, historic, as well as hungry-so we've added hungry in there to represent our eating establishments," he says. "We've come out with that little game, we think it's something fun and innovative."

Olson says the new guide is readily available to anyone who's interested in what's going on in town.

"You can pick up the Okotoks Visitor Guides at the Okotoks Art Gallery and Visitor Information Centre, which is located at 53 North Railway Street," he says. "Or, the Okotoks Municipal Building at 5 Elizabeth Street. Most of our municipal buildings will have it available."

Over 25,000 copies of the guide have been printed, as the distribution locations aren't just in Okotoks, but all over Southern Alberta, and even Montana.
