Hailing from Okotoks, Bull Rider Jordan Hanson laid down an 89.75 on 'Out of the Blue' to take top spot on the night and an almost $10,000 dollar paycheque at the Canadian Finals Rodeo in Red Deer.

His number one competition is Jared Parsonage (Maple Creek, SK) who was bucked off and now sits 4.50 points behind Hanson for top spot in the aggregate.

In Bareback, Ty Taypotat came away with his best score of the week with an 87.50 but it was only good enough for third on the night however, he's in first in the aggregate with a full 2 point spread over second place competitor Caleb Bennett (Corvallis, MT).

Jumping to Steer Wrestling, Cochrane's Tanner Milan has been incredibly consistent with times of 3.8, 3.9 and another 3.8 last night to take the number one spot and also maintains his number one spot in the aggregate.  Former Okotoks Oiler, Jonny Webb just missed out on the number one spot last night by one-tenth of a second with a 4.0 for a nice pay out of almost $7,000.00.  Harley Cole, also from Okotoks had a 4.9 for eighth.

Team Ropers Jeremy Buhler (Arrowwood)/Levi Simpson finally picked up some day money coming in second with a fast time of 4.5 seconds, missing out on top time by 0.1 seconds. And Chase Simpson (Claresholm)/Travis Speer placed fifth last night with a time of 9.6 seconds.  Tristan Woolsey (Nanton)/Trey Gallais slipped into sixth with a 9.7, Clint Buhler (Nanton)/Brett McCarroll pulled off a 10.1 for seventh, while Cole Davison (Vulcan)/Kolton Schmidt and Wyatt Hayes (Granum)/Tyce McLeod had no times.

There's quite a battle brewing in Saddle Bronc between Kole Ashbacher (Arrowwood) and Zeke Thurston (Big Valley). They both tied for first last night with stellar rides of 91.75. Thurston leads the aggregate by only 1.50 points. High River's Lucas Macza also had his best ride of the week with an 86.25 which was only good enough for ninth place on the night.  Macza still sits in sixth in the aggregate.

The competition is also getting fierce in Tie Down Roping with Nanton's Logan Bird sitting in second in the aggregate just 0.60 seconds off the lead.  He scored a time of 8.5 seconds last night for fifth place however it was Granum's Wyatt Hayes with the top time of the night with an 8.0 flat. Colt Cornett had another no time.

And all eyes from Longview are watching Kylie and Bradi Whiteside in Ladies Barrel.  Kylie finished in fourth yesterday with a time of 13.97 seconds and leaves her in second in aggregate.  Sister Bradi had a 24.14 for eleventh. 

Local Steer Rider, Hayden Mackay from Claresholm was bucked off yesterday but remains in second in the aggregate.
