Okotoks has more women than men according to census

There are more women than men in Okotoks.

According to Stats Canada numbers released this week, women outnumber men in every age group in town.

Of the 30,405 people in the town, the biggest group are those aged 15-to-64 with 19,330.

The next biggest group is those 0-14 years of age at 6,570.

There are about 45-hundred aged 64-and-over.

The average age in Okotoks is 38.4.
