I hope the few drizzles outside today are not preventing anyone from having a wonderful Saturday! Today is the day of the 2018 Big Rock Garden Tour, presented by the Okotoks Garden Club! Many of the funds raised from the event will be going towards the Okotoks Food Bank, in support of those who are less fortunate in our community. It is a wonderful cause, supporting those who require a bit of extra help, so if you're interested in connecting with fellow gardeners, be on the lookout for the event during the 2019 summer!

Lineham Galleries also participated in the tour; a beautiful work in progress, their garden continues to thrive under their co-proprietor, Cheryl Taylor! They have many upcoming events for the Okotoks community to enjoy throughout the summer including a Canada Day Kick Off which will feature historical talks of the Lineham family. Be sure to check out the Lineham House Galleries Facebook page for more information!

If you are interested in learning more about the Okotoks Community Garden, operated by the Healthy Okotoks Coalition, visit the Town of Okotoks' website! They are doing wonderful work and are always in need of dedicated volunteers!

Unfortunately, the seventh annual BuskersFest held at Downtown Okotoks has been postponed to a different date due to today's unforeseen weather conditions. Support local talent by coming down to see all different kinds of performers, from singers and musicians to street performers and jugglers.

Catch the Eagle Summer Street Team at our next adventure: the second annual Okotoks Idol contest held at Big Sky BBQ Pit (306016 15th St E, Okotoks). Doors open at 5 PM and the competition will begin at 7 PM. Admission is completely free so come and say hi to the Eagle Team for some great fun!

Also be sure to enter for your chance to win the all-new 2019 Ram 1500 at ridetheram.com! Place Okotoks as your preferred station to help us out!

Quick thanks to the sponsors, CARSTAR, Hometown Dental, Rim 2 Rim, Nanton Water, iDental, and the George Traditional House. Thank you guys so much for everything that you make possible!

Finally, if you are interested in having the Eagle cover a community event, please do not hesitate to contact the team at skshatriya@goldenwestradio.com! It is my hope that we can collaborate together in pursuit of a more connected community!
