Okotokians have had their say, and six designs have been locked in for the "Beautiful Bins Project."

Earlier in the month, the town opened up voting for the project, with residents choosing between 12 potential designs.

All of them were drawn up by students from the Foothills Composite high school, with artists adhering to the theme of "pollinators."

Those designs are In the Grass by Sophia Partridge, Bee-Topia by Arie Cooper, Lovely Bees by Ava Morris, The Bears and the Bees by Natalie Greening, Bumble Bee Bonanza by Jenna Kidd, and Midnight Fantasy by Brooklyn Quinn.

The town previously partnered with the school for the "Paint-a-Potty" projects, which saw students designing murals to be painted on the town's outdoor restrooms.

The six selected designs will be painted on outdoor garbage bins along town pathways and in local parks.

Work on the bins is expected to wrap by the end of June.
