The Okotoks Oilers got off on the right foot to kick off their three game northern road trip Friday night, knocking off the Whitecourt Wolverines 4-3.

Colin O'Neill, Carter Huber and Nolan Thompson's pair of goals were enough to seal Whitecourt's fate.

Riley Morris got his eight win of the season making 26 saves, 15 of those were in the 3rd period.

In the win the Oilers snapped their five game road losing streak on the road and are now 4-7-1 away from Pason Centennial Arena.

The road trip continues in Grande Prairie tonight, puck drop is 7:30 p.m.

The Green and Gold close out their trip on Sunday afternoon against Spruce Grove.
