The Okotoks Oilers take their two game winning streak into Calgary Wednesday night as they battle the Canucks.

Oilers Coach James Poole says at 4-1-and-1 to start the season, this is one of the best records he's seen an Oilers team have out of the gate.

"In previous years we've kind of shot ourselves in the foot with having a slow start to the season. And now obviously, we're right up there with the Brooks and Camrose, we're not giving them a head start in the standings and playing catch-up in November and December and later on."

The Oilers head to Camrose for the league's Showcase Weekend for games against the Bonnyville Pontiacs and Drayton Valley Thunder Friday and Saturday.
