The Okotoks Oilers lost 6-3 Saturday night against the Lloydminster Bobcats.

The Bobcats came out in the first period stronger than the Oilers.

Oilers forward Colin O'Niell says that they didn't play the full 60 minutes.

"We played two good periods, but the first one did us in," O'Neill says.

Going forward O'Neill says the Oilers have to play the entire game every game.

"Taking one period off a game like we did today, really hurt us in the end."

The Bobcats came out strong and outplayed the Oilers in the first period which led to the loss.

"In the first and third they were defiantly faster than us, they surprised us with their for check and came out really fast and we weren't making good plays on their break outs."

The Oilers head up north to take on the Fort McMurray Oil Barons and Bonnyville Pontiacs next weekend.
