Good news for farmers with some oats for sale.

Market Analyst, Errol Anderson says the oat market is hot right now.

"We're seeing good strong price movement in the U-S and there's a shortage of Canadian oats coming out into the Minneapolis market", he says, "for 2 CW, 40 pound oats the bids now range from a dollar seventy to two ten picked up in the yard".

Anderson says there's very few oats feeding the Minneapolis market out of Southern Manitoba and although there is lots of oats in Alberta,  there is a freight disadvantage.
